In one of the few things The Columbian has scooped us on lately (gosh I'll miss that), the daily reported on its Web site today that The Vancouver Voice is up for sale.
'Tis true. The Voice was listed late last week (the listing can be viewed here.)
We have already received interest from potential buyers, so The Voice doesn't seem to be in any danger of going under. The belief that Vancouver, Wash. needs its own aternative newspaper is strong. And the potential of this newspaper is huge. It's just ready for a new chapter.
In the meantime, we're just getting ready for the next issue, featuring the local yokeling (not a real word, but should be) involved in this year's Pedalpalooza. More details of the sale to come in the next print issue, but for now it's just business as usual.
